Here's to nice weather!

We're still enjoying all of this nice weather we've been having!! We've taken several family field trips!

Deanna Rose - We were able to visit Deanna Rose on opening day, April 1st. Kinda crazy on April 1st we were petting goats outside in shorts and eating ice cream!
All of the animals were babies - checking out the chicks.
Good to see Harrison still loves feeding the goats. I heard a mom say to her kid, "See he's not afraid to feed the goats." Yep, we love the goats, feeding the goats and getting goat slobber on us.. Can I say it again? Good thing Harrison's a boy!
Goats!!!!

The Great Outdoors: We have discovered the fun of a backyard this spring too. I took Harrison outside after dinner one night to play on his slide, teeter totter, blow bubbles and color with chalk.
He's my bubble man!
I think we've done it every night since then...
Painting with water. Very entertaining!
We're to the point where when we pull in after I get him from daycare he points at the garage shelves and asks "Blow bubbles? Color?"
Yeah for the water table!
Most nights we do go out after dinner but ironically enough, he doesn't really play with the bubbles.
Going for a spin.
Sometimes if we're lucky we'll go outside twice in one day. At least I don't have to chase him around. He's pretty content on the patio or checking out the plants in the yard.
Watch out Mom! I'm on the road!
I think he gets his driving from his dad...

Harrison's also tried his hand at grilling... Well he helped Adam.
Yummy!!
Playground Party: We don't just play in our backyard. We've been trying out some new playgrounds too. We lucked out last week with this playground.
I tiptoed across the bridge (even though it doesn't move).
It's at a school but had some smaller equipment for Harrison. It also wasn't too busy with baseball practice!
I LOVE crawling through this!
I can't even start to explain what this piece of equipment is... maybe a space ship... Anyway, Harrison loved crawling through it! Small meltdown when it was time to get out and go home.
Back and forth - this is all he did!

More field trip reports to come!
Happy spring!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We've had a fun but busy Easter weekend!
Well, 2 of the 3 are looking at the camera.
Friday Harrison and I ate dinner with Grandma M. Adam was working late and Grandpa and Uncle Jack were off on a baseball adventure. Saturday Harrison took his two year pictures and oh.my.gosh. There are amazing!! We were able to get some Easter pictures as well. We went to Portraits Today Studio right around the corner from us.
Just a sneak peek but seriously adorable!!
And Sunday was the big day! We tried to go to 7:30am Mass but I think all of us just wanted to keep sleeping. When we did get up, Adam and I went straight to dessert making - that's what we volunteered to bring to our family Easter dinner. We went to noon Mass while Harrison stayed home with Grandma and took a nap. After Mass we had a baptism - we're so very proud we were asked to be godparents for our friends' son Noah. (His mom Laurie is one of my oldest friends!!) Then home we went just in time to hide some eggs for Harrison and get him up from his nap.
Yeah we're still getting the hang of finding eggs...
Not sure Harrison understood finding eggs. I mean he found them but then we had to open all of them... As he found them... Yes, it took us a while to get through finding all of them.
I'm just eating hundreds of jellybeans and goldfish crackers.
We got all dressed up for family Easter and headed out. Harrison had tons of fun playing with his cousins outside.
Playing ball with cousin Drew.
Harrison ate lots of food - mainly olives, jello eggs and some fruit salad - and of course he had to have a chocolate egg.
Yes I ate the whole thing! (And didn't make a mess!!)
Grandma brought him a bag of goodies and some really cool Easter glasses for all of the cousins!
Happy Easter!!
Needless to say, I'm ready for bed. It's been a fun but exhausting weekend!

TWO!!!

Well March has been packed full of fun! Our wonderful weather has allowed us to play at the park, go to the zoo (3 times!) and go for walks. It's only fitting that the last day of March is one of the best! Today was Harrison's 2nd birthday party! Two! I just keep saying that over and over... TWO! Where has the time gone?
We took Grandpa and Grandma to the zoo!
Yesterday he was a sweet little baby. Today he's a funny little man! It's just crazy! We had a great time hosting a baseball theme party! Of course we ordered invites from our friend Heather over at Chickabug. (Please go check out her etsy store - adorable!)
The party sign on our door!
We had lots of fun things to eat! Peanuts, popcorn, nachos, hotdogs and cake pops! Shoot, we even had an astroturf runner on our table! We go all out people, all out, for these kinds of things. It was an amazing party with all of our family and friends.

The table - complete with turf!!
Harrison's still a bit shaky at unwrapping gifts but we're making headway. He can unwrap them but then wants to open everything immediately. Oh well. I gave in and opened our first gifts - lots of cars from a special friend at my school. We all had a great time celebrating with our family and friends!
Blocks mommy!! Blocks!
On Harrison's actual birthday we took some baseball cake pops to daycare. I think all of the kiddos loved having a special treat! (I loved not having them in my house - less for me to eat, you know.)
They weren't perfect but we did learn a lot...
It takes a lot of almond bark to cover the cake pops. Food card from Chickabug.
Harrison also brought some cracker jack boxes to share at daycare too!
I love easy favors! Stickers are from Chickabug!
Kim made him a fruity pebble cake and let him blow the candles out!
Who's ready to dig in?!
That night we went out to eat at Red Robin (it's all about the balloons!) with my parents and Uncle Jack. I think Harrison was still recovering from the excess sugar in his system - he was kinda nuts. He kept hitting Adam and me with his balloon. Adam was trying to get him to stop, I was a laughing mess. Seriously, it was hilarious! After dinner everyone came over so Harrison could unwrap a few more gifts. It was a great day!
Happy birthday sweet boy!
Sigh... Two. My little baby is two.
