M is for...

M is for MY LIFE! I love my life right now. Yes, it is crazy. Yes, my kids are crazy most days. But it's still pretty awesome and the kids are pretty darn cute too!
Sweetest girl I know!
We have had a busy but super fun summer! June brought summer preschool, swim lesson and baseball! Baseball was fun to watch and brought back a lot of memories watching my brother play growing up. Our city has a Me & Mini Me "class." Basically kiddos from 2.5-4yrs and their parents learned baseball skills in a 30min class. Harrison also had a preschool buddy in his group.
He's learning to step, point & throw!
We also made family trips to the pool! Finley is definitely a water baby crawling all over the pool! No fear I tell you! Harrison's swim lessons helped him warm up to the water faster but we're still working on jumping in by himself (with his floaty on).
Family pool day!
Now what the heck to write about with "N?!"

Over and out,
Emily

L is for...

LOVE!! Who wouldn't love these two crazy kids?!
Haha! Had you going! These are obviously not my kids!
My good friend Jenny got married in March. It was perfect! So it snowed... It was awesome! And it was great to see all of my high school friends.
My other half - Susan!
I was even smart enough to schedule a hair appointment that day! Yes! My hair looked good!
Date night - reliving our own wedding nine years ago!
Nothing like a wedding to rekindle your own love! This date night was very much needed! To Jenny and Jim - nothing but the BEST! We love you!

K is for...

Kids! Lots of kids! Okay we don't have a lot of kids but we've been around a lot of kiddos lately.

Finley and Harrison are around kids at daycare. We love our daycare! Harrison can color/paint/cut/glue to his heart's content. He can play and play and play. And Finley... Well she's just Finley and does her baby thing there. Both usually come home worn out which makes for fairly calm evenings.
There's our friends at daycare - this is from the Valentine's Party!
There's also our family. We have tons of cousins that are a lot of fun to play with. Harrison has gotten very good about knowing which cousin's are from Mommy's side and which are from Daddy's side. "Are we going to play with my cousin's today?" I just love watching them all run around together. Even though the oldest is 16yrs and the youngest is 10mos, they all seem to get along and entertain each other. Another score for Mom and Dad!

Cousin fun at a cousin birthday party. Brings back memories of growing up.

This winter we signed Harrison up for basketball. Okay it's really like a basketball class. It met once a week for 30 minutes and lasted 6 weeks (I think). Talk about a lot of kids. There were at least 25 kids ages 2.5-4. It was intense! Glad I wasn't that teacher.
Getting some good stretches in. I think the dads had as much fun as the kids!

Lastly there are Harrison's classmates. Twice a week Harrison has preschool. It's only 2.5 hours but I think he really likes it. He's surrounded by other 3/4 yr olds and he loves playing with everyone. I love listening to Harrison describe his day and talk about who he played with.

Singing at the Christmas program.

So there you have it. Lots of kids. Thankfully I just have 2 of them.

J is for...

We should go straight to W for "where the heck have you guys been?!" Yeah life is busy now. Happy but very busy. Between work, 2 dogs, 2 babies and a husband, oh and me time - well, the blog has been set on the back burner. Hopefully I can make a comeback more regularly. In the meantime here's a short post.

J is for Just Us.

We have loved being a family of 4 - hanging out on the weekend/weeknight just us.
We've done lots of crafts this winter. Thank you Kiwi Crate!
There's just been so much cold, snow and flu bug that I've placed us on lock down. We spend a lot of time coloring, crafting, playing and pretending. Harrison loves Power Rangers (yeah.......) so that's been a special morning treat on snow days. Finley has been a crazy jumping woman in her jumperoo and loves putting all toys in her mouth. I swear, she will get teeth!

Having fun at daycare - princess for the day!
Even though I have had snow days myself we are still taking the kiddos in to daycare. It's the only way I can pretend to be productive and stay sane... sometimes... Plus I figure Harrison would rather play with his friends anyway! I think I'm up to 5 snow days... I think.

Yeah... snow.. and cold... and winter some more...
So even though it is March 3rd we still have snow on the ground and snow on the horizon. God help me, where is spring already?!

Hope this holds you over until the next post.
The MIA mom,
Emily
